Your Opportunity:As a Health Care Aide, you are a member of our nursing care team. You will demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our clients and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to competently provide direct client centered care. This position is suitable for candidates who have a strong interest and skills in providing care to the elderly client. Within the home care interdisciplinary team, the HCA is responsible for providing personal care and assisting with activities of daily living within the client’s authorized plan of care. Clients and their families are assisted to maximize their optimum level of independence. You will provide emotional support by being a good listener, being supportive, being friendly and sincere, and interacting in a positive and optimistic manner. You will provide care not limited to companionship, recreational activities, and supervision. You will perform health care duties as authorized on the client’s plan of care including simple dressings, medication assistance, catheter care, ostomy care, and exercises for range of movement and strengthening. You will regularly communicate with a regulated health professional on client status, care delivery, observations, and feedback; documentation of pertinent information and care provided; and participate in education and local home care office initiatives.
