Job Description

CKF Inc. has five manufacturing facilities located across Canada with a total workforce with more than 700 employees. Our operations produce foam, plastic and molded pulp products including disposable tableware, egg cartons, four-cup carriers, and a wide variety of other products for the food service industry.CKF Inc. has an interesting opportunity for this corporate role working out of the Hantsport office and reporting directly to the Corporate Manager of Logistics and Customer Care. With a strong commitment to operational efficiencies, this role is responsible for assisting in activities in Customer Care and coordinating Supply Chain tasks related to Customer Care & Logistics.Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Customer Care Responsibilities – Order Processing, Customer Relations & Communication.
  • Working closely with the Supply Chain team and production schedulers on prioritizing loads, customers, and products while liaising with Sales and Customer Care and providing feedback and updates to all stakeholders
  • Assisting with the team on international business growth throughout the company if required.
  • Data entry and reviewing of freight rates, fuel & lumper rates throughout the company.
  • Coordinating & Completing Credits/Debits & following cross border requirements for overages/shortages on all shipments, while working with other departments.
  • Coordinating (within a team) timely delivery of orders to customers, liaison between Customer Care, Sales & Freight Carriers.
  • Reviewing Outstanding Orders Reports, changes to schedules, and rebooking all appointments required for customers requiring online order scheduling, setting new appointments, and confirming with carriers.
  • Assisting to resolve freight issues/carrier failures and following through until solutions are found
  • Assisting with quarterly and yearly savings tally, working towards a budgeted savings, and pursuing leads for improvements in logistics
  • Investigating carrier claims and inquiries, working closely with Deductions Coordinator
  • Assisting with Manager of Logistics & Customer Care with all related projects.
  • Maintains CKF Consumer Line. 48-72 hour turn around time for all inquiries, complaints, sample requests and follow up.
  • Representing the Customer Care Department in most CI initiatives
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education or have equivalent experience in Supply Chain and/or logistics
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in logistics, warehousing, shipping, and/or customer service-related activities
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Quick decision-making abilities
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Highly efficient and organized
  • Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills
  • Above average problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility to change tasks quickly
  • Forward thinking with the ability to identify/implement stremlining opportunities
