We have some great momentum and are seeing rapid growth in market demand for our robots. We are looking for passionate team members to join our hardware team that is responsible for envisioning, building and delivering advanced and reliable designs that meet the complex needs of our customers. As a key member of our hardware team, you’ll be working with drive systems, electronics, and structural and aesthetic components of our robots. You will be an integral player in our company - your work will bring our software to life and the fruits of your labor will bring joy to travelers around the world.What you’ll be doing at A amp;K:

  • Building our next-gen robotic platforms that will be deployed globally - cable fab, crimping harnesses, wiring electronics, assembling metal and composite structures
  • Ensuring we maintain the highest standards for quality by carrying out thorough, progressive testing and diagnosis of subsystems, our fully built robots, and producing succinct documentation usable as we scale our team
  • Actively contributing to make our product better through hardware development: from concept drawings, to 3D modeling, to prototyping and machining, to installation and testing, to firmware and electronics troubleshooting
  • Improving our business and supply chain resilience by sourcing components for our current and next product iterations, taking good care of our tools and inventory, and building key relationships with vendors.
  • Collaborate with a tight-knit interdisciplinary team. You’ll review and have your work reviewed by teammates in software, operations, leadership and stakeholders to ensure our product is designed with diversity in mind.
What you’ll bring to the team:
  • 3+ years experience at a robotics or hardware company, in a technician or production capacity
  • Demonstrated experience with hand tools, power tools, CAD and electronics
  • Hands-on experience in machining or manufacturing (mills, lathes, welding, carving, composites, molding, etc.)
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills - ability to work within constraints, budgets and think outside the box
  • You take immense pride in your work and pay attention to the smallest details
  • You take ownership and responsibility for your tasks and actions, and lead by example
  • Excellent writing skills that demonstrate organization and understanding of the big picture
Nice-to-haves:
  • Experience with basic programming (C, C++, Python)

Compensation and Perks:
  • Salary: $80,000 to $140,000, pending experience
