Operations CoordinatorFisher Transport Limited, is a growing, family-owned business that has specialized in the movement of bulk liquids since 1962. We are seeking an individual to join our operations team in Milford, NS to support the day to day scheduling, operations and management of our team of bulk liquid specialists and fleet of over the highway trucks and tankers. If you are a person who works well in a team environment and enjoys challenges and developing solutions to overcome those challenges, then Fisher Transport is the company who will support you in that journey.The ideal candidate will possess the following experience and qualifications: · Possess basic to advanced knowledge of computers and proficient with the use of Microsoft Office· Experience working in dispatch and/or operational related roles· At a minimum, a basic understanding of tractor and trailer equipment with a more detailed understanding highway tractors and stainless steel bulk tanker trailers considered an asset· Ability to manage multiple operational tasks such as, but not limited to, scheduling, sanitary and mechanical compliance, dispatch and maintenance scheduling· Experience using dispatch software considered an asset· Postsecondary education considered an asset· Minimum of 2 years experience working in for hire trucking operationsThe primary duties: The Operations Coordinator, will work alongside our Bulk Milk Manager and our Highway Dispatcher/Manager and assist with the day to day operations with the primary duties being:· Schedule and coordinate weekly maintenance of our tractors and tanker trailers between third party and in house repair facilities· Manage our sanitary and safety compliance program· Develop safe work and standard operating procedures for operational related tasks ie. Assist our safety Manager with training program(s)· Work closely with dispatch to obtain comprehension of our operations to allow for vacation and sick leave dispatch coverage· Rotational weekend on-call dispatchWhat We Offer: We offer full-time, year-round stable work and an opportunity for advancement within our growing organization.
