Clinician, CYMHSocial Program Officer (CYMH) 25There are 6 full time positions available: 3 positions in Terrace (1 Early Years Mental Health Clinician, CYMH and 2 Clinicians, CYMH), 1 position in Hazelton (Clinician, CYMH), 1 position that can be performed from either Smithers or Hazelton (Early Years Mental Health Clinician, CYMH), 1 position in Prince Rupert (Early Years Mental Health Clinician, CYMH) and 1 position (Clinician, CYMH) in Kitimat.Applicants who do not fully meet the required qualifications may be considered for this position, but at a lower classification.These positions are also posted as a Nurse 7 under REQ 77154 and an LP 5A under REQ 77155.An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies in Hazelton, Kitimat, Prince Rupert, Smithers and Terrace.IMPORTANT NOTICE TO APPLICANTSThese location are currently eligible for a retention incentive which is available to all regular permanent Social Program Officers residing in Hard to Recruit (HTR) designated communities across the province. In addition to the re-imbursement of relocation costs (where applicable), the incentive program provides the following:Up to a maximum of $6,000 annual lump sum payment to regular permanent full-time Social Program Officers in the SPO R18 to SPO R30 classifications* ORUp to a maximum of $3,000 annual lump sum payment to regular permanent full-time Social Program Officers placed in the SPO Growth Series (SPO Growth to SPO R24 classifications) **

You build and maintain relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders in the community to ensure that conflicts are resolved and appropriate outcomes are achieved.Early Years Clinician, CYMHThe Ministry of Mental Health and Addictions (MMHA) in collaboration with MCFD released the provincial cross-ministry strategy, “A Pathway to Hope: A roadmap for making mental health and addictions care better for people in British Columbia”, which establishes a 10-year vision for mental wellness, improved mental health care and the establishment of an effective substance use prevention, addictions treatment and recovery system and identifies four sets of priority actions government will take over the next three years.The primary responsibility of the Early Years Clinician, CYMH is to provide mental health services to children from birth to age six and their families as part of the integrated team. This can include direct clinical services such as intake, assessment, treatment, suicide risk assessment, safety plans and crisis intervention for children and their families.Clinicians work in flexible ways, including in home, school and community settings. Through consultation, the CYMH Clinician will build and maintain relationships to support coordinated services and positive outcomes for children and their families.
