JOB POSTINGOffice ManagerPermanent Full Time (35 hours/ per week)Hazlet SchoolCompetition #2768Start Date: August 23, 2021DUTIES:The Office Manager shall perform such duties and responsibilities as may be assigned, including but not restricted, to the following:Perform receptionist duties by greeting visitors and parents, answering the telephone, ascertaining the nature of business, providing information or redirecting inquires as requiredConduct inventory and order administrative and academic supplies as requiredGather and record the daily attendance records for all studentsPerform various computer, word processing and typing responsibilities such as forms, spreadsheets, correspondence, school communication, student lists and a variety of reports as directedEnter data and generate monthly and other reports in the student information, accounting and administrative systems as required by the Principal and Division Office personnelPerform the financial and accounting functions required to maintain financial records such as bank deposits, issue receipts, petty cash reports and decentralized budget informationAt all times maintain respectful communication with fellow staff members, students and parentsPromote the vision, mission, principles and goals of Maverick School and Chinook School DivisionEDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:Certificate/Diploma in Office Administration training at an institution or equivalentKnowledge of business English, spelling and punctuationKnowledge of methods and procedures used in maintaining an officeKnowledge in accounting practicesSuperior technological knowledge in order to provide tech support to other staff members/studentsKnowledge in the operation of equipment, such as photocopier, fax, telephone, and computerKnowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel and database software packagesKnowledge and experience working within Google: Drive, Docs, Slides, Forms and HangoutsBENEFITS:Salary determined by training and experienceEmployee benefit packagePositive work environmentSuccessful applicants must agree to a criminal records check including a vulnerable sector search.
