Rigid/ Haul Truck Operator (FT) - Jobs in Hedley, BC

Job Description

Matrix has an incredible opportunity for Rigid/Haul Truck Operators just 30 minutes from Penticton, BC. This is a project in Hedley BC, close to Apex Mountain. This role is expected to be 2 to 3 months long. Minimum 10 years of experience in Rigid/Haul Truck Operating is required. The pay range is $32-$38/hr, depending on experience. Our client is a progressive, award-winning, industrial service provider.Extra Benefits:

• $220 LOA per day.
• Turnaround travel: $375.
• Retention Bonus offered to those with a perfect attendance record at the end of the project.
• Night Shift Premium: $2.50.

Shift Details:

• 12 hours a day.
• 7 days a week.
• 14 days on and 1 week off.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate multiple sizes of equipment.
• Sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Safely secure construction equipment, attachments, materials, and other equipment.
• Identify and report any required or preventative maintenance to the supervisor.
• Perform all appropriate pre- and post-equipment inspections.
• Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks.
• Timely and accurate completion of all required paperwork.
• Must be willing and able to assist with groundwork as required.
• Other job-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience operating.
• Experience in the civil or forestry industries.
• Reliable transportation for travel.
• Basic experience working with hand tools.

Qualifications:

• Valid non-restricted drivers license (Minimum class 5).
• Able to pass Drug and Alcohol testing.
• Basic PPE to be supplied by the worker are boots, hardhat, and glasses. The client will provide any specialized PPE.
