Job Description

Techmation Electric & Controls Ltd is currently seeking experienced Instrumentation Journeyman & Apprentices for field maintenance for our Edson & Hinton shops. Candidates must have strong instrumentation maintenance experience working within the Oil & Gas sector. Successful applicants main duties will be working on crash maintenance, monthly/yearly preventative maintenance, plant shut-down checks, compressor panel checks, fire & gas detection calibrations, meter calibrations, hydraulic ESD checks/repairs, etc.Techmation works on a variety of industrial oil and gas maintenance projects throughout Western Canada. As a successful applicant, you will have the opportunity to work on full-time, long-term maintenance projects with well-established and reputable clients.Requirements:

  • Journeyman Instrumentation certificate, OR
  • Registered Instrumentation Apprentice (3rd or 4th year)
  • Candidates must be familiar with FloBoss 103, Zedi.
  • ROC & Alan Bradley PLC experience would be an asset.
  • Must have previous troubleshooting and instrumentation maintenance experience working within Industrial Oil & Gas facilities
  • At least 3 years of instrumentation experience on Industrial construction and maintenance projects would be considered an asset
  • Candidates must have valid H2S Alive, Standard First Aid – Level A or C with CPR/AED, Fall Protection, and CSTS 2020 Fundamentals certificates
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers license and reliable transportation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Candidates must live within commuting distance of Edson or Hinton, AB, or be willing to relocate in order to be considered
