You will work with a team who are as passionate about their work and our products as our customers are about their own leisure interests, be it Sports, Health, Fitness, Auto or Outdoor Leisure.The Role:We have an opportunityfor a skilled and safety focusedDC Operations Manager to work the Afternoon Shift (2.30pm – 10.30pm, 5 days per week) at our Altona, Distribution Centre in Melbourne. You will provide supervision of, and participate in, assigned operational tasks within the Distribution Centre, ensuring that both individual and team requirements are achieved in a safe manner, within process standards and to expected performance levels.The Distribution Centre Team Leader is accountable for understanding the required tasks, processes and units of measure for each functional area of the Distribution Centre, as well as the requirements of all relevant company policies and procedures in performing the work required. Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Ensuring our team is always safe, by ensuring team members are following relevant processes and procedures
  • Managing a shift with a leadership team to achieve operational targets and KPI’s
  • Maintaining open, effective communication channels with team members and stakeholders both within and external to the Distribution Centre
  • Working effectively and collaboratively with other Team Members to support the achievement of team goals
  • Manage process and accountability of the team on your shift
  • Identify any process gaps within the team and provide relevant training to develop the team
  • Coordinating the team’s daily activities.
About you:You will be an experienced Operations Manager from either warehousing, logistics or Distribution Centre background with a strong consistent safety focus with:
  • 2- 3 years’ experience in a similar Snr Team Leadership role
  • Experience managing teams to KPI’s and Targets
  • Intermediate excel skills
  • Strong email communication ability
  • WMOS Experience
  • Experience within a Multi-pack SKU environment
  • Demonstrated experience in Occupational Health and Safety Management
  • Strong people manager
