Lounge Cook and AttendantContract/Full/Part timeLocation: Hope, BCLocated in Hope, BC, close-by for individuals from the Lower Mainland. The airport travel hubs are Vancouver and Abbotsford, making this an easy connection for employees inbound from Edmonton, Calgary, or Vancouver.About Us - operating out of beautiful Squamish BC (British Columbia) between the mountains, sea, and sky,Landsea specializes in providing workforce accommodation and catering solutions for projects in remote locations throughout BC and Western Canada. Anywhere.” Visit our website at https://landseacamps.com/About Working in Remote CampsStaff are provided with accommodation, full meals, WIFI and some have health/gym facilities. We have both long-term and short-term contacts. Shift schedules are between 10-12 hours (day or night) and are typically 20 days (about 3 weeks) on and 10 days (about 1 and a half weeks) off, depending on the camp. We provide partial uniforms and help with the travel/reservations as needed to and from camp locations. Excellent Health and Wellness benefits are offered after three months.InterestedWe currently have an opening for Lounge Cook and AttendantIn collaboration with the Chef, responsible for the full scope of planning and directing all food preparation, cooking activities and beverage service for the Lounge.General Duties and ResponsibilitiesCulinary duties:

  • Prepping and firing hot entrees with sides of starch or salad in the kitchen for hot/cold holding and service in the lounge.
  • Planning the utilization of product with Chef to use product from main kitchen
  • Opening and closing/cleaning and sanitizing of lounge service area daily
  • Temperature logging and communication of ordering requirements to chef
  • Prepping and storing cold items for salad service
  • Prepping and planning of sandwich to order service
  • Stocking and rotating of grab and go items (sandwiches, snacks and desserts) in lounge following FIFO procedures, ensuring labelling and dating is correct
  • Plating and serving of food for guests
  • Inventory of food products and stock
Lounge duties:
  • Beverage service for guests
  • Inventory of alcoholic beverages
Requirements:
  • Serving it Right
  • Valid Level 1 Food Safe.
  • Sqemel onboarding requirements complete
Training required:
  • Moneris training
Job Qualifications
  • Red Seal Ticket (preferred or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum 3 years’ culinary skills experience
  • Food Safe certification
  • Serving it Right Certificate
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Speak, read, and write English
  • Completion of High School
  • Team player and supports, motivates, and encourages others
  • Excellent attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Always maintain a professional appearance
  • Work safely and responsibly
Physical Requirements (must be physically fit to perform the following)
  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, or crouch for extended periods of time
  • Repeat the same movements including fast, repetitive movements of fingers, hands, and wrists
  • Use muscles to lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 50 lbs
  • Use hands to handle objects and tools
Other Requirements
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol clearance;
  • Site specific preemployment training
  • Completion of Landsea Safety Training;
Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $21.00-$24.00 per hourAdditional pay:
  • Overtime pay
Schedule:

Experience:
  • Cooking: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
  • Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
