Job Description

  • You have a Grade 12 education or higher.
  • You possess excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have 1-2 years leadership or management experience in a retail environment; experience within the Co-op Retailing System would be an asset.
  • You are honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
What you’ll do:
  • Provide leadership and direction in the development and achievement of financial results, budget objectives for sales, margins, expenses, and profitability for our food store locations.
  • Ensure standards for marketing, merchandising, talent management, health and safety within our food store locations are met.
  • Maintain inventory controls, image and fixed assets and perform administrative responsibilities.
  • Develop and promote a culture of engagement with the department and co-operative.
  • Model the way of demonstrating day-to-day behaviours and actions that align and strengthen the co-operative’s vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety.
  • Build and maintain relationships with our internal and external customers and team members in order to provide high quality customer experiences.
