Job Description

Job SummaryMuskoka Rock Company is looking to hire an experienced Loader Operator who will also be required to perform work on granite saws. This opening is located in Dwight, ON. Just a short drive from downtown Huntsville.Purpose : To efficiently and safely operate front end loader to assist in loading and unloading of saw bays. You will be required to perform saw operation including programming, setting up, some maintenance and troubleshooting as well as production documentation.Responsibilities and DutiesResponsibilities :

  • Maintain safe work area
  • Operate loader productively within the machines rated capabilities
  • Follow instructions and be willing to take on various assigned job tasks
  • Lock out machine when cleaning and performing maintenance.
  • Wear and maintain PPE per Company policy.
  • Punctual and reliable to meet the demands of the business and support peers
Duties incl but not limited to :
  • Perform pre-start checks each morning and complete inspection reports.
  • Perform daily clean up of machine and surrounding area
  • Perform weekly maintenance on loader and saws
  • Operate loader to load, unload and assist in cleaning out saw bays
  • Operate loader to move material within quarries (occasionally you will be required to load trucks)
  • Operate granite saws to cut to required specifications
  • Complete production documentation (use of measurement tools and tablet will be required)
  • Assist in clean up of saw bays, using machinery or tools (loader, excavator, shovel, pressure washer, etc.)
  • Report any safety hazards or machine deficiencies.
  • Other duties may be assigned from time to time
