Within this exciting setting, the Town of Huntsville has a vibrant downtown and offers many cultural and outdoor recreational opportunities.The Systems and Mobile Administrator, reporting to the Manager of IT, is responsible for providing exceptional service as the first point of contact for end user project engagement at The Town of Huntsville. The Systems and Mobile Administrator position will lead the advancement of desktop and end user equipment, working with both software and hardware with the express aim of providing situationally aware solutions whether it be server or cloud based. With a shift to work from home and mobile workforces, the Systems and Mobile Administrator will have the opportunity to assess, design and implement new technologies merging work requirements, information security, and remote access to provide solutions that provides timely access to information and meets the organization policies. This role will be working with a variety of systems including Multifactor Authentication, Microsoft 365, inTune, tablets, in vehicle computing and Android phones. The Systems and Mobile Administrator will also serve as a back-up to the IT Technician by assisting with any overflow requests.The ideal candidate will have a diploma in computing science, electronic engineering technology, or information systems, and have 1 to 2 years of hands on experience in a help desk or business analyst environment. A strong understanding and knowledge of software applications to provide support functions to the organization, as well as having the knowledge and ability to deliver technical training and user documentation is required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively and diplomatically with a wide range of personality types coupled with a strong political acuity is required. Expertise and excellence in both written and verbal communication are also required. The successful applicant must be current with emerging technologies, as well as being proficient in the use of MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word, and able to learn the use of additional software applications in-use by the Town. A valid G-class driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is also required.The salary range for this position is $61,388.60 to $67,667.60 based on a 35-hour work week and includes a comprehensive benefit plan.The Town of Huntsville is committed to providing accommodations throughout the hiring process.
