Job Description

Personal Support Worker (PSW)WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care is currently hiring a Part-time PSW. If you enjoy working as an independent contractor in a home care environment, this is the job for you!Shifts are Monday-Friday 1430-1830. Number of days per week will vary.Duties

  • Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living
  • Observe and report on changes in child’s condition to parent/guardian
  • Assist with ambulation, mobilization, transferring, and adaptive aids
  • Demonstrate understanding of child’s needs and maximize abilities
  • Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child/parent/guardian
  • Respond to client/parent/guardian concerns and ensure appropriate action is taken
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including child’s equipment and belongings
  • Notify supervisor of any concerns impacting child’s safety
  • Complete all other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Personal Support Worker program or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with pediatrics
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Vulnerable Sector check within the last six months
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
