Job Description

DATE POSTED: Tuesday, August 23, 2022EMPLOYER: Asessippi Ski Area & ResortCITY/TOWN: InglisBUSINESS LOCATION: Box 70DESCRIPTION:

  • Teach all manner of ages and ability guests to ski and snowboard according to the standards of the
    • Canadian Ski Instructors’ Alliance (CSIA) and the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors(CASI) in a safe and fun environment.
  • Teach skiing/snowboarding lessons according to CSIA/CASI standards and within the current
    • level of certification
  • Responsible for the safety of each member/guest in the instructor’s care (Duty of Care)
  • Be knowledgeable of and teach the variety of lessons that Asessippi offers
  • Be knowledgeable of and teach the Alpine Responsibility Code
  • Commit to the minimum requirement of availability to teach lessons on the assigned days
  • To be knowledgeable of current equipment, technique and teaching methodology by attending
    • regular instructor training
  • Assist with the organizing of ski and snowboard lessons
  • Support the process of renting gear for lesson participants
  • Log all class and student information on Ski & Snowboard School class cards
  • Other related duties as required
    • Qualifications:
  • Minimum CSIA or CASI Level 1 certification, current and in good standing which can be taken at Asessippi every December
  • Excellent communication and guest service skills
  • Personable and helpful
  • Ability to work as a member of a cohesive team
