Reporting to the Director of Operations, you #39;ll manage human and environmental resources, ensuring compliance with ORNAC standards and facility policies. Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a clinical resource for perioperative services team members.
  • Evaluate current practices through quality and performance improvement measures.
  • Demonstrate effective communication and collaboration skills with the perioperative team.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and manage change within the facility.
  • Operationally and fiscally manage perioperative services.
  • Initiate and lead team member interviews and evaluations.
  • Assist with team member orientation and ongoing compliance.
  • Ensure infection control, medication administration, and storage procedures adherence.
  • Maintain professional knowledge through educational workshops and participation in professional societies.
Education Requirements/Experience:
  • Graduate of a recognized Nursing Program.
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing with the provincial regulatory body/college of nurses.
  • Completion of an accredited peri-operative nursing program with 3-5 years in the intra-operative environment.
  • BCLS/ACLS Certified and PALS, if applicable.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (Bilingual preferred).
  • Demonstrated critical thinking abilities.
  • Driven, organized, and detail-oriented.
  • Adept at facilitating actions and resolving conflicts.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of medical industry legislation and guidelines.
  • Solid business acumen, understanding budgeting, scheduling, and staff management.
  • Ability to build strong physician relationships, collegiality, and networking ability.
  • Demonstrated creativity, innovation, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
