Job Description

ESS Direct Powered by Vertical Staffing Resources is recruiting for a client in Innisfil, ON for an IT Technician. This position requires a candidate with a minimum of 5 years experience. This is a Permanent position.Position Title – IT TechnicianReporting to the General Manager, the IT Technician is responsible for the seamless management of IT infrastructure, operations, and application systems. The IT Technician will work with management, individual departments, and providers; provide a hands-on approach, implement new projects, provide internal support and, resolve issues as needed.Closest Intersection:

  • Innisfil Beach Road and Highway 400; Innisfil, ON
Shift Time for IT Technician:
  • Days, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities for IT Technician:
  • Manage all systems, workstations, printers, copiers, phone system, website, installations, upgrades, data, servers, and electronic equipment
  • Contact for trouble shooting and resolving issues (in our production and office environment)
  • Installation of equipment/upgrades of software
  • Ability to create programming
  • Develop and implement IT policies and procedures
  • Responsible for distribution and collection of company assets, including passwords
  • Manage backup/recovery of IT infrastructure
  • Development of IT budget and execution
  • Ensure effective communication between IT and user community, including training, coaching
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and correct performance issues within IT
  • Create and update documentation for the technical systems and IT infrastructure
  • Other duties and responsibilities associated with IT management
Requirements for IT Technician:
  • Experience with Active Directory, Firewall and VPN configuration, NAS, Office 365, Accounting software, Mobile Device Management, Virtual Machine Management, and network design
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organized, reliable, innovative, flexible, team player, effective interpersonal skills, and ability to make tough decisions
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, and large workload
  • Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to meet deadline
  • Diploma or degree in Information Technology (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of related IT experience
  • IT management: 5 years (preferred)Successful candidate must provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CRC) prior to commencing employment.
Pay Rate for IT Technician:
  • $60,000.00 to $80,000 Based on qualifications.
