Precision during the colour matching process and an in depth knowledge of colour blending principles is necessary to ensure the printed product matches the artwork provided by the customer.Benefits:

Responsibilities
  • Re-use ink from previous jobs when possible to save money and reduce waste.
  • Properly label the “slop” drums.
  • Keep plant production area clean and organized.
  • Perform quality control checks and inspect equipment, raw materials, in-process and finished goods.
  • Execute preventative and corrective action documents; maintain traceability of records for batch tickets.
Job Duties
  • Shipping and receiving of inks for the branch; put away the ink received.·
  • Prepare and weigh-up batches of ink to match the colour(s) required for a job to the specification listed on the work order.·
  • Create enough ink to run the entire job.·
  • Check the anilox for the type of ink to be used (regular or slow dry).·
  • Roll the ink onto film with a hand roller.·
  • Use the Delta machine to read your colour.·
  • Properly label ink cans to ensure the correct ink is used for the work order.
Requirements·
  • Basic computers skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office is an asset.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as required.
  • Can work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong work ethic that demonstrates a care for product quality.
  • Physically able to repeatedly lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must have a good eye for colour.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • High School Diploma/GED Required
