Job Description

Inuvialuit Regional Corporation (IRC) invites applications for the position of Accounting Officer based in Inuvik, NT.Under the guidance of the Accounting Supervisor, the Accounting Officer’s primary responsibility will be for the processing of accounts receivables and accounts payables within the Inuvialuit Corporate Group (ICG).The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge:The incumbent’s responsibilities will relate to all aspects of accounts receivables and payables:

  • Works to ensure all invoices are entered appropriately to various entities within the group on a timely basis for payment
  • Works to ensure proper documentation and authorizations are in place for all expenditures
  • Distribute payments to venders in a timely manner
  • Maintains necessary supporting documentation for invoicing and receipts
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries as they pertain to the processing cycle
  • Protects the organization’s values by keeping information confidential
