We’re seeking someone with the energy, enthusiasm and curatorial experience to help make this year’s Great Northern Arts Festival a joyful, beautiful, and successful event.The Gallery Manger will oversee and arrange the exhibition of all artwork - soapstone carving, traditional showing, jewellery and 2D visual art brought to the festival and created during the festival. They will assist with setting up the gallery prior to the July 8th opening, and assist with teardown and de-inventory on July 17 and after. They will assist with the supervision of the art inventory and pricing manager, sales manager, database technician, summer students, gallery security, and framer and packer.The 2022 Great Northern Arts Festival will be attended by some 50 Inuvialuit, Gwichin, Dene, Metis and non-Indigenous artists from the 3 Territories.be the contact person for Craft Fair Vendors and assist with the administration, setup, and design of the Fair. The Coordinator will be responsible for the layout of the Midnight Sun Complex Community Hall and non-profit tables, lead event design and decoration, and assist with putting up and dismantling the Fair.The Coordinator will handle application intake, travel booking, payments and receipts, and provide table information and oversee drawings. The Coordinator assists with advertising, posters, social media promotion, and ensures Covid 19 spacing and capacity limits are observed during the event. Support is provided. The Coordinator will work as a team with the Executive Director and work closely with Craft Fair Vendors and Town of Inuvik staff.They may oversee extra staff if needed, particularly for critical responsibilities including proof of vaccination or exemption verification, and will provide a final report to the Executive Director.Job Type: Fixed term contractContract length: 16 daysSalary: $3,500.00 per monthSchedule:
