Job Description

Under the direction and guidance of the President, Inuvialuit Energy Security Project LTD., the IESP Community Liaison will be responsible for representing the IESP to the local communities, helping build capacity, and informing the communities about job opportunities and project updates. The Community Liaison will monitor social and traditional media sources, reporting relevant IESP information to the IESP management team.The Community Liaison will be required to travel within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region to provide project updates and build capacity plans with each community. The Community Liaison will also be required to schedule community meetings, and coordinate responses to community requests and media inquiries. The Community Liaison will be trained by IESP staff on the IESP Management System and Corporate Policies.The ideal candidate will have the following combination of education, experience, and knowledge:

  • Grade 12 diploma
  • 3+ years of related administrative work experience, ideally in a corporate environment providing direct support to leadership positions
  • Client-service orientation
  • Works collaboratively within a team, supporting others and fostering a positive team environment
  • Ability to capture meeting minutes, format, and file documents electronically, and organize requests effectively
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Working knowledge of the Inuvialuit Settlement Region
  • Strong writing skills, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation
  • Proficient with computers, office equipment, and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment
  • Willing to learn and take additional training and courses
