Under the direction and guidance of the IESP Construction Supervisor, and with the support of the Director, Environment, Regulatory, & IMS, the IESP Construction Assistant will be a contract position responsible for shadowing the IESP Construction Supervisor and assisting with the project management of the IESP Early Site Works (ESW) construction in the winter of 2022-23. The IESP Construction Assistant will shadow the management of Principal Contractor performance during the ESW construction and shadow the management of other onsite services such as ensuring IESP health, safety, and environmental policies are being adhered to and onsite quality control is performed.It is anticipated that the ESW construction will be conducted over a period of approximately 3 months. The ideal successful candidate would be a local Inuvialuit beneficiary who is looking to build a career in Project Management and/or Health, Safety, and Environmental Protection and has an interest in the long-term construction and operations of the IESP.
