Job Description

THE CANTERBURY INN is looking for a reliable PART-TIME HOUSEKEEPER, that is able to maintain a HIGH STANDARD of cleanliness, whilst keeping a friendly & positive attitude. The hours would vary weekly, depending on room occupancy. We just ask that you are able to work a flexible schedule, and be available on weekends and special holidays.There will also be the opportunity of this leading into a Full-Time position, during our busier peak summer season.This is a physically demanding job, so be prepared to come to work....to WORK : )

  • Previous hotel-related and/or cleaning experience preferred. Training will be provided
  • Ability to follow instruction, and work independently under tight deadlines
  • Pays great attention to detail
  • Time management skills are a MUST!
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) is an asset
Job Responsibility
  • Ensure the cleanliness of guest rooms, laundry & public areas
  • Making beds, changing sheets and towels
  • Cleaning washroom facilities including toilets, bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, floors, bathroom fixtures and others as assigned
  • Vacuuming floors
  • Dusting of furniture and fixtures
  • Removal and sorting of linen, garbage and recycling
  • Responsible for the assistance in maintaining a clean and organized backspace
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, CasualPart-time hours: 20-40 per weekSalary: $17.00-$20.00 per hourSchedule:
  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Morning shift
  • On call
  • Weekend availability
