We offer a diverse, supportive environment where you will grow personally and professionally as you learn from some of the most talented people in your field.Job Type: Full TimeShift(s) Available: NightCompensation: $21.14/ hour CADPrincipal Accountabilities:Gentle and correct handling of eggs, embryos and chicksThorough understanding of Animal WelfareWill complete necessary paperworkFluff SamplingMeconium SamplingHatch Window ChecksThorough knowledge of chick quality and culling accuracyTake chick vent temperaturesMay be involved with sampling at various stages of developmentAble to read and recognize variability in production and other hatchery dataMake decisions relative to equipment settings and hatch timingOther duties as assigned by the FSQR Lead or Hatchery ManagerCapable of identifying deviations and various aspects of the HACCP system related to chickqualityWill monitoring hatchery/production factors that contribute to contamination (biological and chemical)Ensures sanitation procedures in the Hatchery are completed in accordance with HACCP protocols and policiesWill ensure HACCP forms and documentation is updated on a daily basisBasic Requirements:Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaMust be 18 years or olderAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 40lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodationAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respiratorBasic use of a computerAbility to work overtime including weekends and holidays with advance noticeBasic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and divisionHigh School DiplomaPreferred QualificationsPrevious related experienceConsidered candidates will receive a phone call from a (204) area code.Please note that this position does not include relocation reimbursementCargill is an equal opportunity employer and committed to providing accommodation to our job applicants with disabilities.Quick Apply
