Staff Services HousepersonAs a dynamic member of the Staff Services Team, this position focuses on ensuring the well-being of Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge #39;s employees and residents.This role has an integral impact on the satisfaction and comfort of residents (our guests) in colleague accommodation.What is in it for you:Subsidized staff accommodation provided on-site for full time statusCompetitive extended benefits package including medical, vision and dental for full time permanent statusEmployee Travel ProgramComprehensive Wellness Platform (LifeWorks)Discounts on foodamp; beverage/spa/golfOpportunity to develop your talent and grow within Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge and over 5,000 properties with AccorWhat you will be doing:Reporting to the Colleague Residence Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offers professional, engaging and friendly serviceClean staff cabins including washrooms and hallwaysClean apartments (Sir Henry Thornton Village)Clean and maintain all staff areas (outside grounds, R amp;R room, training roomamp; laundry rooms)Stock and label supply closetsOperate vacuums and carpet shampooing equipmentAssist in all duties of the linen roomEnsure all vacant rooms are clean and properly set upMove furnitureReport all maintenance problemsLight maintenance duties (clean sink taps, unplug toilets)Execute the mail run on occasionAdhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehiclesOther duties as assignedYour experience and skills include:Housekeeping/janitorial experience an assetMust hold a Current Drivers LicenseTrustworthy, reliable, responsible and dependableMust be very flexible and be able to work all shiftsMust be in good physical conditionMust have good verbal communication skillsSelf motivated and able to work independentlyWell organized and good at prioritizing and time management Your team and working environment:Standing: 4-6 hrs/dayWalking: 4-6 hr/dayBending/reaching: 3 hr/dayPushing/pulling: 1-2 hr/dayPhysical effort: does not lift weights over 100 lbs, some repetitive motionVisual effort: medium, detail orientedEnvironmental stress: high - works in hot/cold conditions, constant inside/outside conditions, some slippery or congested conditions, working alone and in group situationsFast-paced, upscale, luxury hotelClose proximity to Marmot Basin Ski Resorts in winter and world-renowned hiking trails in summerHospitality employees worldwide making this a great place to develop lifelong connections Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
