Our busy company immediately requires 3 experienced skilled workers - Bricklayers / Stone Masons / for work in residential, commercial, institutional projects as well as maintenance and repair services.START AS SOON AS POSSIBLELOCATION: Jerseyville, Ontario, Canada EMPLOYMENT GROUPS: Students, Youth, Veterans of the Canadian Armed Forces, Visible minorities, Persons with disabilities, Indigenous people, Newcomers to Canada, Seniors, Apprentices TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Permanent: Full time - $32.00/hour for 35-44 hrs / week EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Overtime, Day, Weekend, To be determinedJOB REQUIREMENTSLANGUAGES: English. EDUCATION: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. EXPERIENCE: 3 years or more of verifiable work experience in bricklaying field, either current or recent. OWN TOOLS/EQUIPMENT: Tools, Safety equipment/gear, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Gloves. TRANSPORTATION/TRAVEL INFORMATION: Own transportation. WORK CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling. WORK LOCATION INFORMATION: On-site customer service PERSONAL SUITABILITY: Accurate, Reliability, Team player, Client focus, Effective interpersonal skills. ADDITIONAL SKILLS: Work at heights, on scaffolding or swing stages. MAJOR WORK AREA: Construction, Repair, Renovation SPECIFIC SKILLS: Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, structural tiles or other masonry units, Lay bricks, stone or similar materials to provide veneer facing, Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required, Cut and trim bricks and concrete blocks to specification using hand and power tools WORK SETTING: Commercial, Residential.
