Project Duration: TemporaryProject Location: Joffre, AlbertaShift: Day or Night – 6/1 RotationCharter Flights: Drive in/Drive out Work Site (Living Out Allowance provided if eligible)Jardeg is recruiting Pipefitters (Journeypersons, Apprentices & Forepersons) to join the NOVA Chemicals Turnaround team on site near Joffre, Alberta. Positions are temporary during Spring season with high possibility for other project opportunities upon completion, working 10-hour days.Jardeg has quietly existed as the construction industry’s best-kept secret for over 15 years.   • Demonstrate knowledge of functional operation of various piping system components by measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, and bending of pipes, valves, and fittings.
  • Layout, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair piping systems which are pressurized or carry water, steam, chemicals, or fuel used in heating, cooling, lubricating and other processes.
  • Hydrotest and install fabricated pipe spools within structural steel modular assemblies, adding designed supports as required.
  • Check for system leaks and troubleshoot fitting errors.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment.
  • Interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Red-line update drawings to an as-built condition.
Position Qualifications:
  • Registered Journeyperson or Apprentice Certification.
  • Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS 2020) Certification.
  • Energy Safety Canada Certified Fall Protection.
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space.
  • Aerial Work Platform (preferred not required).
  • First Aid – Standard Level Certification (preferred not required).
