The mission of KEC iscarried out by the Kahnawà:ke Combined Schools Committee (KCSC) as well as the administrative arm ofKEC. The KEC is responsible for the operation and support of three schools in the Kahnawà:ke communityand post-secondary administration.Position SummaryThe main purpose of the Safety Monitor Assistant is to ensure safety protocols are being implemented andfollowed by all persons in the school. The Safety Monitor Assistant will be responsible to identify andrecommend improvements to safety procedures and track the self-reporting covid-19 questionnaires for allpersons entering the buildings.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging self-reporting records of students: Track self reporting records (electronic and paper) Generate and oversee master list of students in each school Cross reference daily health checks to ensure DHC are completed Ensure DHC and attendance data is updated in each school Track any DHC symptoms and contact individuals where applicable Ensure all relevant information is shared with Safety Monitors in each school Report any issues non-compliance of self reporting forms of staff to Human Resources Report any issues non-compliance of self reporting forms from parents to school administrationParticipate in School Safety Meetings Act as a liaison between the in school safety committees and Administration and various levelsof management If needed chair safety meetings Liaise and train the back-up Safety Monitor Liaise with safety consultantKahnawà:ke Education Center Job DescriptionSafety Monitor AssistantDepartment of EducationSkill & Competency RequirementsCore Competencies:The necessary core competencies for this position include: Strong attention to detail Effective time management and solid organizational skills Ability to work independently Professionalism Excellent communications skills Good physical health and wellness Computer proficiency (word, excel)Technical Competencies:The necessary technical competencies for this position include: Basic Computer Skills requires.ComEducation, Knowledge & Experience Secondary School Diploma with a minimum of 1-year related experience.
