Job Description

The Body Shop Technician is responsible for maintaining a high-quality repair level while working in a production driven environment. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor before starting repairs
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems including:
    • Chassis, frame, cab, body, engine and drive train, air brakes, steering, fuel and hydraulics using hand tools and other specialized automotive repair equipment
  • Refinish equipment using industry-standard paint equipment, facilities and materials
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems including structural, brake and electrical systems
  • Diagnose and repair electronic and electrical systems
  • Installation of new truck accessories
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 1 year of experience as a Body Shop Technician
  • Valid Class 5, prefer 1 OR 3 Driver’s License with air endorsement
  • Fabricationamp; welding experience required
  • Aluminum welding is an asset
  • Superior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairs
  • Strong computer skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment
  • Effective problem solving skills
Compensation Rate
  • $24 - $48 per hour
  • Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and apprenticeship level
