To learn more, visit www.pagnotta.ca We are currently recruiting a Concrete Patcher / Finisher for a project in Kamloops, British Columbia to assist with fast-paced and challenging projects.Some experience is required.Benefits

Responsibilities
  • Smooths and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete.
  • Removes rough defective spots from concrete surfaces and patches wholes with fresh materials.
  • May also be required to set the forms that hold the concrete in place, patch existing surfaces, cut expansion joints, and monitor the curing of the concrete.
  • Operates machinery including mechanized boom lifts with articulating baskets (man-lifts).
  • Utilize special tools and apply patching skills and knowledge to repair blemishes in concrete.
  • Apply cementitious materials to hardened concrete walls for a smoother architectural appearance.
  • Identify hazards associated with task assignments and ask questions if clarification is needed.
  • Understand and follow lock out/tag out procedures.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Safety.
  • Work effectively as team member of field workforce
  • Commit to and meet scheduled attendance and production deadlines.
  • Performs other related duties as may be assigned or requested by immediate supervisor.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry is desired.
  • A basic understanding of construction principles and procedures is required.
  • Must be able to work in constant changes in weather and site conditions which may impede the work hours.
  • Must be able to lift, climb, balance, crouch, crawl, reach, and do other similar activities as needed.
  • Must be able to wear safety gear (PPE).
  • Ability to respond appropriately during emergencies.
  • Have tools required for patching and carpentry.
  • High-rise construction experience would be considered an asset
  • Fall Protection ticket considered an asset
  • WHMIS 2015 required (we can provide)
  • CSTS ticket required (we can provide)
