Job Description

Department: SPR - ChildmindingLocation: Sun Peaks, BCPosition Type: PermanentRole Proposition:Are you a certified E.C.E/Child Caregiver who loves to share the stoke with everyone, young and old We are looking to recruit Full-Time Child Caregivers for the Winter 2023-24 season and beyond! Skiing, snowboarding, and snowshoeing are at your fingertips, with bike parks, golf rounds and lake days to look forward to. One of the best features of our Resort is our excellent childcare centre, located at the base of the Sunburst and Sundance chairlifts. The Early Childhood Educator (ECE) guides, cares for, and instructs children by implementing developmentally appropriate activities and experiences for children 3-5 years old. The ECE shall foster cooperative social behaviour to assist children in forming positive relationships. The ECE will work collaboratively with families and the community to support child development. Physical Requirement:Medium Work (M) – Exerting 20 kg of strength occasionally, and/or 10 kg of strength frequently or constantly to move objects. Medium work may involve walking, standing, bending, crouching frequently. Both in indoor and outdoor setting.Accountabilities:

    Caregiving to children aged 3 to 5 years of ageParticipate in children’s meal planning and meal preparationPlan fun and engaging activities and learning opportunities for various children agesBeing able to assist children with getting ready for ski/snowboard lessonsAdministration duties as required, including – Children Check-In and attendance, cash handling, telephone and email correspondences and taking bookingsSpending a large portion of the day outside in all weather conditions with the childrenOther duties as required by the Daycare CoordinatorIdeal Candidate:
