As such, EMCR’s mission is to be responsible to British Columbians for leading the management of provincial level emergencies and disasters and supporting other authorities within their areas of jurisdiction. The Regional Financial Analyst provides financial support to EMCR regional offices and ministry partners; develops, implements and maintains ministry specific account processing procedures; ensures the integrity and maintenance of related financial records and supports the budgeting and forecasting function for response and recovery activities. Job Requirements: Education and ExperienceDiploma in business administration, public administration, or finance, and a minimum of two (2) years combined related experience, OR An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Related experience must include a combination of:Experience working with financial accounting systems, procedures and internal controls. Experience interpreting and providing advice on financial policies/procedures. Experience tracking, analyzing and reporting financial forecasts. Preference may be given for: Minimum of one (1) year supervisory work experience including assignment of work, development and evaluation of performance.Candidates must be able and willing to:Work on-call and extended hours during emergencies and disasters.
