Working under the direction of RN’s and LPN’s, LTCA’s have key responsibilities in the individual care plan for each patient, ensuring their physical, emotional and social needs are supported, while promoting maximum independence.Typical duties include: • Assisting with personal care and activities of daily living • Assisting with mobility, transfers and related equipment • Performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse and respiration • Housekeeping activities relating to maintaining a safe and healthy environment • Observing and reporting changes in patient behavior and condition • Accompanying clients on outings and during social activities • Performing clerical duties and delegated tasksThis is a permanent part-time (0.76 FTE) opportunity on Ponderosa 1st Floor working rotating days and evenings with shift times of 07:00 to 15:00, 15:00 to 22:00, and 15:00 to 23:00. About this location/unit:Ponderosa Lodge has 136 short term beds (68 First Appropriate Bedamp; 68 Pathway to Home which include convalescent and respite care).
