Powered by passionate people, we bring the right teams with the right skills together - offering both experience and regional expertise so companies can operate their day to day, confidently and successfully.Job DescriptionWHAT #39;S THE JOBAs the Plant Manager , reporting to the Director, Manufacturing, you will oversee the production activities of the manufacturing plant that are directly related to manufacturing of all buildings and structures constructed. This will involve managing the operations of the modular manufacturing plant, including production facilities, building structures, equipment and people, while liaising with appropriate personnel to ensure materials, quality of products and services, safety, and designs meet or exceed expectations. You will be responsible for budgeting and profit and loss (P amp;L) for the plant.Your work will include:- Responsible for profit and loss (P amp;L).- Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets.- Plan and manage plant and departmental budgets and production schedules.- Understand and manage indirect and direct hours.- Develop team members by supporting professional development, providing regular feedback to promote the utilization of best practices and completing annual performance reviews.- Plan hiring needs, supervise and train or oversee training of employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques to complete assigned units and obtain an effective, efficient flow of work.- Ensure employees understand their duties, company policies, goals and objectives.- Monitor and manage employee relations, in combination with HR when required, including but not limited to: employee absenteeism and tardiness, employee complaints and issues, employee misdemeanor, employee insubordination, employee breach of company policies, etc. to ensure goals and objectives of the Plant are being met.- Work in conjunction with Project Managers to ensure that customer requirements are achieved.- Work in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering Manager(s) to ensure high efficiencies via systems and processes.WHAT #39;S IN IT FOR YOU- A place where people matter, not only at work but in the community- Be #1 on day 1 by joining an industry leader- Job security as we are in growth mode- Very competitive compensation package- Benefitsamp; TFSA/RRSP matching up to 5% start on your first dayFollow NRB Modular Solutions on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/NRB.Inc) , Twitter (https://twitter.com/NRB_modular) , and LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/company/nrb-inc-modular-building-specialists/) .QualificationsWHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR- Diligent in ensuring the health and safety of self and co-workers.- Preferred completion of a degree in Business Commerce, Engineering and/or a college diploma in Construction Technology or equivalent.- Minimum of 5 years responsible for P amp;L in a manufacturing environment.- Minimum of 7 years #39; experience in a supervisory or management role.- Experience in a construction/production environment will be considered an asset.- Ability to develop subordinates #39; skills and encourage growth.- Excellent computer knowledge, specifically in Microsoft Office Suite is required.- Ability to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.- Ability to manage a fluctuating workload and set priorities to meet deadlines.- A track record of maintaining a positive and collaborative relationship with employees and clients.Additional InformationDexterra Group is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
