Visit our Careers at CLBC page to learn more about working at CLBC, what we offer, and tips for the interview process.The Role:As the Regional Housing Lead at CLBC, you serve as the point of contact within the region for the delivery of staffed housing and housing-related services. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing a portfolio of staffed housing resources that CLBC-funded service providers operate to provide a stable, safe environment for individuals. You will play an integral project management role in ensuring that housing projects are planned and delivered on time, on budget, and in a manner that is responsive to individuals requiring housing and their families. Furthermore, you will consult with regional service delivery team members and will advise on a wide range of complex housing situations by providing an expert perspective to identify opportunities or efficiencies, resolve problems/issues, and explore options for changes in practice and operations.Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating and managing cost-effective and timely development of staffed homes (outside of BC Housing). Guides and advises regional staff on housing processes and options
  • Responsible for advising Analysts, Integrated Services Managers, and Regional Directors on housing-related matters
  • Identifying key issues for the Manager, Servicesamp; Community Development (Housing) on a project-by-project basis including but not exclusive to budget, time constraints, and communication challenges
  • Supporting regional and provincial housing development through networking with local housing providers, BC Housing, municipalities, builders, housing advocates, and others engaged in housing development.
  • Participating in and occasionally leading various regional and provincial committees and working groups.
  • Working with the Manager, Services and Community Development (Housing), and other Regional Housing Leads to develop standards, forms, agreements, processes, and practice guides in support and development of CLBC #39;s policies.
Working within the region, you will develop partnerships that lead to the availability of inclusive housing within existing and new affordable housing. Where housing activities are neither available nor in development, you will convene with partners to explore options for new housing development. This includes:
  • Building partnerships and relationships with local municipalities and other stakeholders, specifically related to housing
  • Learning and understanding housing options available from other government partners as well as the local area
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor #39;s degree in Education, Finance, Business Administration, Allied Health or equivalent is required
  • A certificate or training in project management is considered an asset
  • Minimum 2 years of experience inclusive of housing development, policy analysis, project and contract management, and budget preparation and coordination is required. The successful incumbent will have demonstrated leadership experience
  • A combination of education, training and experience may be considered
