Job Description

On behalf of our client in Highland Copper Valley, Ignite Technical Resources is looking for Senior Change Management Specialist with our client for a 6 months contract with extension opportunity.The Change Specialist role will be pivotal in ensuring a smooth and sustainable transformation of the way client operates. The EOM program is a cross company, multi-year initiative that will implement standardized processes, enhanced capabilities, new performance measures and an enterprise ERP, IT solution. The program requires experienced change practitioners with previous time spent in transformation projects and implementing enterprise systems in an industrial or mining environment. The role will manage the change strategies and plans to support the business in making the transition. This role is accountable for defining the change strategy and plan for a scope of work related to the broader EOM, following the OCM framework, providing advice on change to senior leadership and coaching in change management, and draft / or review and approve all change management deliverables.Key Accountabilities:

  • Overall accountability for the organizational change management program, related to their scope of work, in support of the EOM.
  • As part of OCM strategy and approach, ensure key change levers are addressed: stakeholder management, leadership alignment, communications and engagement, and training
  • While this role requires and experienced OCM lead, there is a large focus on OCM program management activities and reporting.
  • Activities include leadership meetings and reporting, OCM team assignments and development o Manage the OCM program team including Change Specialists, Comms and Engagement Lead, Training Lead and Training Specialists.
  • Work with OCM team members in the development of specific plans and associated deliverables within each change lever, ensuring proper due diligence is addressed.
  • Provide direction and advice to the Communications and Engagement Lead on the engagement strategies.
  • Provide direction and advice to the Training Lead in the development and execution of the Training Strategy and Plan.
  • Develop, execute or direct key program wide OCM deliverables includingFunctional OCM governance model.
  • Change Management Strategy and Plan.
  • Change Leader and Change Champion Network.
  • Sustainment Model accounting for unique differences of your different stakeholder groups.
  • Organizational Readiness Review for each change milestone o Adoption metrics which tie to the desired business outcome.
  • Review and approve all OCM program deliverables produced by the OCM team including stakeholder analysis, impact assessments, role assessments and personas, Day in the Life, business readiness assessment activities.
  • Establish and manage a Change Leader and Change Champion network to support the implementation.
  • Review and monitor items in the OCM RAID log and work with the EOM Change Network to create mitigation plans. Escalate through the RBS Leadership Team or Change Leaders as needed.
  • Build change competencies through coaching Change Leaders and Change Champions.
To be successful you need to have:
  • Must have 10+ years’ experience as a senior change management practitioner, in dedicated roles including business transformation and program leadership experience.
  • Someone who can travel to Highland Copper Valley- 3 Days a week on Site.
  • Must have experience implementing business transformation projects, and/or enterprise systems.
  • Executive leadership relationship building.
  • Experience with implementing an ERP would be an asset.
  • Experience in managing culture change in an industrial plant or mining environment.
  • Experience as a OCM Program Lead on an Agile project team, executing specific OCM deliverables.
  • Ability to work effectively both individually, and in a collaborative, team setting, and equally effective working with site leadership and operational teams.
  • Comfortable working with a degree of ambiguity.
  • CCMP designation or other accredited change management certifications.
