Responsibilities and DutiesReporting to the Purchasing Manager, the successful candidate for the Buyer/Logistics role will be responsible for the following:· Managing different categories of products within the cycle of RFQ, creating PO, monitoring On-time delivery to dealing with claims· Maintaining cooperative supplier relationships with possibility of sourcing new suppliers· Negotiating price, payment terms and delivery· Reviewing and controlling product line and inventory levels· Negotiating shipping container contracts and scheduling· Prior to shipment ensure suppliers are complying with all packaging requirements· Coordinate delivery of containers with trucking companies· Research new items and categoriesQualifications and Skills· Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Math or a relevant field.· Experience with forecasting and procurement systems an asset as well as data processing, data quality control, data entry and verification· Excellent computer skills and full proficiency with Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas including v-lookup) is required· High level attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical, and capable of working in a rigorous environment consisting of a high volume of information and comparative analysis.· Strong personality and excellent communication skillsCompensation· Includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.AutoShack is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
