Other Details: Reporting to Director, Commercial Operations SupportLevel: Non-BargainingSkills and QualificationsInclude, but not limited to, the following minimum skills and qualifications:Post Secondary Education (2 years);Four (4) years of previous experience;Strong operational knowledge of airport/cargo/ramp operations and procedures;Experience with audit and/or quality assurance programs an asset;Understanding of the Company Safety Management Systems (SMS);Proficient in Windows, Word, Excel and Power Point;Knowledge of Sabre, AIMS, AQD and cargo database considered an asset;Solid problem solving and customer service skills;Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;Strong written and verbal communication skills;Willing to travel frequently and possibly on short notice;Bilingualism considered an asset;Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Pass in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInterested candidates should be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities:Provides leadership and coordination for the development, maintenance and updating of departmental standard operating procedures, processes, manuals and training programs;Conducts risk assessments, investigations, findings and responds to HOIRs as required;Responsible for Commercial investigation in conjunction with the local Managers;Participates in the audit program including random and scheduled audits;Responsible to ensure that internal checklists are followed by departmental personnel;Participates in safety investigations and assign as required;Update training material and operating procedures as required;Ensure Canadian Norths training and operating manuals are up to date and IOSA compliant;Ensures findings arising from audits or safety events are reviewed with appropriate personnel for investigation and development of corrective action plans (CAPs);Monitors and ensures CAPs are implemented according to established time lines;Ensures training records are updated, prepares reports, analysis and follows up on mandatory training status;Reviews, analyzes and prepares reports for departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPI);Provides leadership to direct/indirect reports to ensure departmental objectives are achieved in a safe and efficient manner;Assists in the delivery of training;Other related duties as assigned.Is this the job for youApply in writing with a cover letter and résumé to:Canadian North Human Resources DepartmentEmail: recruit@canadiannorth.comFax: 613-254-6280Internal and External candidates will be interviewed simultaneously.
