Fitquest is seeking a Performance Coach. The ideal candidate would have a Sport Science background and/or Kinesiology, a growth mindset, organized and driven to impact the lives of our clientele through performance-based coaching.About the roleThe role focuses primarily on the development, delivery and implementation of programming to athletes of all ages and backgrounds, in one-on-one and group training settings.While the majority of the Performance coach’s job will have a strong emphasis on program development, coaching and program delivery, other job requirements may include:1. Instructing, motivating, and assisting athletes and clients in a safe, legal, moral, ethical manner to achieve their goals.2. Conducting on-site/off-site assessments of athletes and clients utilizing our proprietary training and assessment system.3. Updating training plans and/or re-evaluating athletes and clients as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.4. Maintaining constant communication with athletes to ensure goals are being met.5. Partnering with the employer to conduct various client engagement and educational activities and events.6. Presenting Fitquest methodology through Fitquest outreach and education programs.7. Reporting various metrics to senior staff, such as attendance, engagement, outreach efforts, and activity level.8. Participating in program planning and development, as well as design and/or carry out related research.9. Leading and/or participating in staff education covering all aspects of Fitquests methodology.10. Maintain professional credentials as required including attending necessary continuing education courses.11. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of all components of the Fitquest training system as it evolves.12. Increase respective client base through efficient delivery of Fitquests training system, as well as developing client referrals, separate from the Employer’s referrals.13. Perform all aspects of position held in a professional manner.14. Follow established policies and procedures of the company.15. Some travel may be required.As a contractor, you should expect 25+ hours of work per week. The hourly wage for this role is $27.50 per/hour. Additional personal coaching contracting wage will be set as a percentage basis of total hourly rate charged to client.QualificationsCompetencies, skills & abilities:1. Fluent in both English and French (asset)2. Work independently and as a flexible and co-operative member of a team3. Excellent organization and time management skills and techniques: ability to work under pressure to meet tight time schedules and deadlines, prioritizing work and handling significant problems and tasks which come up simultaneously or unexpectedly4. Client service oriented: ability to use effective and tactful oral and written communication skills with clients at all levels of the organization5. Compile, organize and summarize data and information accurately and efficiently6. High level of competence in dealing with sensitive issues7. Exercise independent initiative and establish priorities for own workload8. Exercise sound judgment, discretion, and a high degree of confidentiality9. Discretion and confidentiality10.
