Job Advertisement: Accounts Payable SpecialistLocation: Kelowna, BCAbout Us:Our client is a well established construction company based in Kelowna, committed to delivering quality projects and exceptional service. They are currently seeking an experienced, detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team and support the accounting department to assist with an increased workload. Please note this is a contract position anticipated for 3-5 months full time work initially.If you’re ready to contribute to the success of their company, we’d love to hear from you!Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistReports To: Accounting ManagerType: Full-Time hours - 5 month + contract position Key Responsibilities:

  • Inputting and processing invoices into the accounting system
  • Managing and reconciling accounts payable transactions
  • Ensuring accuracy in payment processing and maintaining financial records
  • Liaising with vendors and subcontractors regarding invoice queries
  • General accounting duties, including assisting with monthly and year-end reporting
  • Preparing payment runs and ensuring timely disbursements
  • Assisting with other administrative and accounting tasks as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years previous experience in an accounts payable or general accounting role
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills to work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Construction industry experience is an asset
  • Experience with TRAILD software is a significant asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • A positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively in a team environment
