Job Description

Join Our Team at Discovery Community College​​​Position: Registration Coordinator Location: Kelowna, BCDiscovery Community College is a Designated Private Career College, with campuses across Vancouver Island, the Lower Mainland and Interior BC. Our goal is to provide all of our students with an exceptional educational experience that fully prepares them to be job-ready in their chosen field.We are looking for a dynamic individual with passion, drive and determination to support our students to start a new life through collaborative problem solving, motivational organizing and thorough administration.Salary range:$47,000 to $50,000 per annum (depending on experience)This Kelowna position is fulltime and on a Monday to Friday schedule (the occasional evening and weekend hours may be required with notice).About the role:

  • Coordinating and supporting prospective student registration requirements
  • Organizing and maintaining accurate student records
  • Financial aid administration
  • Following up and supporting students with outstanding student record information
  • Coordinating financial assistance regulatory requirements with students
  • Performing other administrative duties
  • General administrative needs of the campus
  • Reception coverage when needed
About you:
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Passion and aptitude for coordination and motivation
  • Minimum of three years administrative experience
  • Previous experience at a post secondary educational facility an asset
  • Previous experience in financial aid is an asset or financial literacy!
  • Attention to details a strong requirement
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent oral and written communication ability
  • Ability to act with good judgment and discretion; maintain confidentiality
