  • Coordinate talent acquisition efforts by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Assist with all aspects of the WSIB claims process leading to the safe return to work of employees
  • Lead attendance and performance management programs
  • Monitor employee benefits programs, including compensation, health insurance, expenses, vacation, and other personnel packages
  • Oversee, refine, and execute employee standards and procedures, using and improving HR existing and recommended systems and processes
  • Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable HR federal and provincial requirements, conducting investigations, and maintaining records
  • Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Degree in human resources an asset
  • Experience in human resources management
  • CHRL designation an asset
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems
  • Familiarity with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team, to prioritize tasks in order of urgency
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and comprehension skills
  • Developed creative problem-solving skills to look at the “big picture”
