Job Overview:Reporting to the Art Director, there is a career opportunity in our Marketing Department for a Digital Designer for a 1 year maternity leave contract. This position will be responsible for digital creative and design to support onsite experience and email communications for Toys“Râ€Us and Babies“Râ€Us.We want to bring on someone who values what we value - teamwork, excellence, authenticity, accountability and integrity. This is an opportunity for you to take on exciting responsibilities, build on your already strong skill set and help us achieve our goals, in a work environment that is fast-paced, dynamic and fun.The following are the required responsibilities and qualifications:Responsibilities:Provides hands-on input in conceptualizing and designing quality user interfaces, including homepages, landing pages, banner ads and emails with a primary focus on email marketing for Babiesâ€Râ€Us.Manages and designs creative projects from concept to completion and translates marketing objectives into creative strategies.Creates compelling designs that adhere to brand standards.Designs hands-on concepts for all customer marketing communication for Toysrus.ca and Babiesrus.ca projects.Analyze and identify opportunity areas and implement design improvements to optimize the user’s shopping experience.Testing and optimizing to improve communication and layout effectiveness.Works with cross-functional team members to deliver and integrate creative/technical/information architecture solutions.Keep abreast of trends in interactive design, production tools and processes for products and websites.Investigate and recommend methods, systems, processes and standards.Follow through on every project from beginning to end, with a high degree of communication.Stay aware of competitive networks and latest innovative solutions.Qualifications:3-5 years’ experience in an eCommerce Marketing role preferably background in an omni-channel retail environment.Extensive HTML/CSS coding/editing experience is considered an asset.Familiarity with email marketing provider technology platforms is required.Excellent experience with graphics software packages (Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Indesign).Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.Ability to have a collaborative approach and leadership quality to influence and “manage†various relationships.Must be self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects, problem solve and have an excellent sense of prioritizing in a fast-paced environment.Toys R Us is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
