Keremeos is on the boundary of Canada’s Sonoran Desert and is the western gateway to interior wine country.Keremeos’ housing remains very affordable, and the Village contains schools, parks, a medical clinic and emergency facility, long term care facilities, a grocery store, drug store and pharmacy, restaurants, pub and liquor store, and several fresh fruit and vegetable stands. Year-round recreation is nearby with walking and biking trails, disc golf, skiing, hunting, fishing, and tubing on the Similkameen River.Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Coordinator of Community and Corporate Services has responsibility for supporting the Planner and Approving Officer in land-use matters, processing bylaw complaints, organizing Council meeting content and follow up including consolidating bylaw amendments, processing communications through various media channels, providing back up to the public information counter, and other projects assigned by the CAO.The position description is available at https://www.keremeos.ca/employment-opportunitiesThis is a CUPE 608 position, with a 35-hour week at a 2022 rate of $30.24 per hour.
