Stay to experience a progressive career path with an employer that is dedicated inproviding a positive working environment, along with competitive compensation and benefits!POSITION: Temporary Part-Time Regional Relief Custodian (25 hours per week)Afternoon Shift (3:30 p.m. start)SALARY: $22.77/hourLOCATION: Kincardine Group of schools as requiredSTARTING Starting as soon as possible and ending June 30, 2023DATE:REPORTS TO: Supervisor, Plant Operations/ School Principal/ Head Custodian/ AssistantHead CustodianNOTE: This position is intended to be utilized for replacement as required atKincardine-Tiverton (KIN), Kincardine District Secondary (KDSS), HuronHeights Elementary (HHE), Elgin Market (EMP), Ripley (RIP), Lucknow(LUC) for 25 hours per week (scheduled 5 hours per day).The successful candidate may be eligible to work up to 40 hours per weekbased on availability and absenteeism.This is a unionized position, and as such the successful applicant shallabide by and be covered by the CUPE Local 1176 Collective Agreement.If the successful applicant is not already on the Bluewater District SchoolBoard Casual Supply Custodial List, they may be added.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• To attend any of the locations listed as dispatched, daily.

  • In the event of no absenteeism, attend the scheduled shift at KIN
  • To abide by all Custodial related Plant practices and procedures, as well
as follow all Board policies and procedures for Board Employees.
  • To complete all assigned tasks.
  • To be responsible for notifying the Head Custodian (HC) and/or Assistant
Head Custodian (AHC) of repairs required to the building and equipmentwhich are beyond your qualifications.
  • To be responsible for equipment checks, minor maintenance and repairs.
• To be responsible for notifying the AHC, and/or HC of security breaches,mechanical or electrical failure or any other unusual circumstances.• To draw from stock materials needed in meeting duties.• To receive delivery of supplies and equipment.• To work closely with our community education partners to help ensure thesmooth operation of their events.• To perform any other custodial duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • A Secondary School diploma or equivalent.
• In compliance with Article 12 of the current Collective Agreement.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work locations.
