We are currently seeking NETA Field Technicians with expertise in electrical testing, maintenance, and commissioning for low, medium, and high-voltage power systems. This role involves hands-on fieldwork, project execution, and collaboration with a highly skilled team on critical electrical assets such as transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, protective relays, and grounding systems.Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical Testingamp; Maintenance: Perform testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance on low, medium, and high-voltage equipment.
  • System Inspections: Inspect and test switchgear, transformers, circuit breakers, relays, cables, and related systems.
  • Industry Compliance: Ensure adherence to standards such as CSA, IEEE, and NFPA.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members to complete projects on time, safely, and within scope.
  • Safetyamp; Quality: Follow strict safety protocols and BCES QA/QC processes.
  • Documentation: Complete and document test results, reports, and recommendations.
  • Leadership: Supervise complex testing and commissioning projects, leading teams in troubleshooting, repair, and system integration tasks.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on complex diagnostics and solutions.
  • Collaboration with Engineering: Work alongside engineering teams on specialized studies and project planning.
Qualificationsamp; Skills
  • Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (required).
  • Certifications: NETA Certification or equivalent experience (e.g., NICET, utility or OEM training).
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical testing standards (CSA, NFPA, IEEE).
  • Equipment Proficiency: Experience using testing equipment such as Doble Power Factor sets, TTR testers, circuit breaker analyzers, and relay test sets.
  • Communicationamp; Organization: Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Travel: A valid driver #39;s license and willingness to travel.
