Job SummaryWe currently have an opening for a Junior Trader to join our Biofuels desk at our Targray Headquarters in Kirkland, Montreal. We are looking for someone who has commercial acumen, is hard working, results oriented, intelligent, driven to learn quickly, who wants to grow and has interest in working in a fast-paced environment. This is a role that is made for you if you are willing, as an analyst, to learn and develop the skills required to be a successful commodity trader.This position requires 100% in-office presence Monday to Friday. Responsibilities
  • Learn how to effectively sell biofuel, and how to select and open new geographic markets.
  • Help create a competitive advantage for Targray #39;s trading and supply chain activities, while at the same time learning about the products and logistics solutions the company provides.
  • Research and present recommendations to senior management on new market opportunities.
  • Within 6-12 months, take additional responsibilities and gain experience and exposure. The goal is to leverage the candidate #39;s strengths and further develop their skillset.
  • This position may include travel within the United States and Canada, as well as overseas.
  • This position is ideal for a candidate who wants to work hard, learn quickly, and make rapid progression in a rapidly growing dynamic industry.
Requirements
  • Recent MBA graduate, preferably with a concentration in Finance or Strategy.
  • 1 to 5 years #39; work experience.
  • Commercial background or mindset.
  • Must be fluent in English (written and oral); French is an asset.
  • English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with stakeholders across Canada, US, and other countries across the globe where English is the common language. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company #39;s activities to avoid this requirement.
