Job Description

Voyago is currently recruiting for a Manager Fleetamp; Assets in Kitchener Waterloo, Ontario, who will also oversee the Hamilton/Niagara region fleet.Position Overview:Reporting directly to the Director of Fleet, the Fleet Manager is responsible for a wide spectrum of responsibilities dealing with company vehicles. maintenance facilities and manages a team of licensed mechanics, apprentices and administrative staff. Primary Responsibilities1. Procurement

  • Sources, purchases and disposes of vehicles as required
  • Assesses divisional vehicles for replacement
  • Negotiates parts/fluids/tools/services with vendorsamp; manufacturers
  • Performs vendor visits/reviews
2. Maintenance
  • Ensures maintenance of Company vehicles in accordance with established standards and policies
  • Reviews of all maintenance schedules on an annual basis
  • Obtains estimates; issue work order, purchase order or insurance work order
  • Coordinates all shop maintenance outsourcing and outside garage work
  • Coordinates vehicle repairs; liaise with insurance
  • Obtains vehicle/component warranties
  • Responsible for overseeing Fleet Services’ garage locations and physical facilities
3. Financial
  • Collect, analyze and present key performance indicators related to fleet services to management and operations
  • Inventory management
  • Responsible for Fleet Services’ cost centre budgets and actual results
4. Leadership
    • Accountable for a team of licensed mechanics and administrative support staff
    RequirementsYour Profile
    • You have a University or College education or equivalent
    • You bring 3-5 years experience in a similar role
    • You posses a 310S or 310T license
    • You have experience working in a management capacity
    • You are computer literate in MS Office
    • You have enhanced analytical skills for evaluating shop operation processes
    • You are very familiar with the Healthamp; Safety Act and National Safety Code
    • You bring advanced knowledge of purchasing policies
    • You must be able to multitask with ease and proficiency
    • You posses a Clean Criminal record
    • You have a minimum full G Ontario Drivers License, with a clean drivers abstract
    • Your experience in transportation would be an asset
