Job Description

AFIMAC Canada is seeking experienced Supervisors for upcoming assignments related to labour disruptions, organized protests and man made crisis/disasters.This position will require you to work 12 hour shifts, 7 days per week when assigned to a project.You will earn:

  • $25 per hour before over-time
  • Up to $5,200 bi-weekly (based on 84 hour work week)
  • Paid travel up to 4 hours
  • Hotel accommodation provided when required
  • $30 per day meal allowance when lodging is required
  • Temporary Contracts: 1-120 days
AFIMAC Project Co-ordinators are deployed to various types of assignments including:
  • Labour Disruptions
  • Organized protests
  • Man made crisis/disasters (crime scenes, structural fires, etc.)
Required Education, Skills and QualificationsTo be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must be able to meet the following criteria:
  • Supervisory or leadership experience in the Security field
  • Former military, emergency management, project management or law enforcement experience an asset
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to projects for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work 84 hours per week: 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Excellent organization and computer skills
  • Able to work in a high stress environment
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Able to deploy on short notice (as projects dictate)
  • Able to manage investigators and security personnel deployed in the field.
  • Ability to train, motivate and improve staff performance
  • Ability to professionally manage staff conflicts
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of staff
  • Clean criminal record
  • Valid drivers license and vehicle
Experience:
  • Previous supervisory experience in the security field preferred
Language:
  • English (required)
Licence/Certification:
  • Security License (preferred)
  • Private Investigator License (preferred)
  • Class 5 or Class G Drivers License (required)
