Job Description

The Student Support Worker would be assigned the following responsibilities as outlined by Administration:

  • promotion of a positive, healthy school environment
  • manage attendance information with students
  • assist the administration to liaise with families
  • assist with transportation needs
  • facilitate language translations, if possible
This is a full-time temporary position to commence on Monday, October 17, 2022, until June 23, 2023, with the potential of extending the term into the following school year to cover a maternity leave. The salary will be determined based on experience and qualifications.The successful candidate must possess:
  • school experience (or related experience with children/youth)
  • a reliable vehicle and a valid driver’s license
  • cross-cultural experience
  • good communication skills
A Youth/Child Worker certificate (or equivalent) and the ability to speak Cree would be considered assets for this position.
